Hjelm Bay at The Baltic Sea on the island Møn in Southern Denmark
The area around Rytsebæk on Western Møn is the epitome of peace and tranquility. Unlike the famous Møns Klint on Eastern Møn, there are very few tourists and no major roads here. The hiking trail "Camønoen" passes close by, and there are plenty of opportunities for short or long hikes in the area. Eg. to the nearby Fanefjord Forest, where the beech trees grow right next to the beach. And if you like beach walks, you can't find a better place: Either eastwards along the endless and desolate beach in Hjelm Bugt to Møns Klint, or westwards, past Fanefjord Forest and on into the sound "Grønsund" to the small Hårbølle Harbour.
The photo above is taken from the organic Bed & Breakfast Tohøjgård, where you can spend the night as a tourist or participate in the site's courses in meditation and Mindfulness. The photo below shows the long and deserted beach in Hjelm Bugt. Out on the horizon, you can discern the forest at Hesnæs on the island Falster.
